SOAR operates on our two West Road properties in Huntsville, ON. Campers rotate through exciting morning activities build new skills with our sports program, enjoy outdoor wide games, archery, paddling on a nearby lake, laser tag, amazing theme days and more!

Campers are pointed towards a growing faith in Jesus Christ through times of worship and community in our amazing chapel sessions and small group discussions.

Activities 2023 included: Paddling, Sports, Projects (aka. arts and crafts), Cooking, Archery and STEM Labs.


Highlights from our 2023 Soar Camp

SOAR 2023 Morning Activity Descriptions

  • Basic archery is an engaging and accessible activity for campers. Participants will learn the archery fundamentals, including proper stance and grip. Campers will have the opportunity to handle bows and shoot arrows.. Through this activity, kids will develop their hand-eye coordination, while enjoying the thrill of hitting targets.

  • Welcome to the lab where campers will build things like: a simple electric circuit, simple engines, mini catapults, and more. Throw in some batteries, wires, and various other components and campers will explore the scientist within themselves.

  • Campers will embark on an adventure as they navigate the waters of Hunters’ Bay. This engaging outdoor activity promotes teamwork, builds confidence, and provides an opportunity for young adventurers to connect with nature while creating lasting memories. Lifejackets and a swim test(on the first day) are required.

  • In this fun sports activity, participants will engage in a dynamic and fun-filled experience. The program incorporates various popular sports such as soccer, basketball, 9-square, soccer baseball, and more. Campers will have the opportunity to develop their teamwork, coordination, and communication skills through engaging drills, friendly competitions, and structured gameplay.

  • Campers will learn the basics of food preparation and kitchen safety. From measuring ingredients to mixing, stirring, and baking, they will create mouthwatering treats based on the daily theme. This engaging activity fosters teamwork, creativity, and a sense of accomplishment as the young chefs proudly showcase their delicious creations to their fellow campers.

  • This hands-on experience encourages creativity and imagination while fostering teamwork and problem-solving skills. Each day, campers will engage in a variety of fun and age-appropriate craft projects. They will have the opportunity to explore different art techniques and materials, allowing them to express themselves and develop their artistic abilities in a supportive and encouraging environment.
