WHY DO OUR WORSHIP SERVICES LOOK AND SOUND THE WAY THEY DO?
Our worship services are at the centre of all that we do at Faith as we seek to lead people to faith and maturity in Jesus Christ. Together our vision is to strengthen families towards a transformed community and that vision impacts every aspect of our church community, including our worship services. In 2016, our church leadership established a team to take a look at our worship services and propose a new worship statement that reflected our church's mission and vision. The statement below was submitted and approved by the elders in the fall of 2017 and we're excited for what's ahead!

WHO IS WORSHIP FOR?
Our worship is for God alone. Only God is worthy of worship and worship is ascribing to God all that He is worth.
WHAT IS WORSHIP FOR?
We believe that the primary purpose of worship as a church is to exalt Christ as a family of God expressing to Him our devotion and commitment to Him. We also believe that worship should be used to prepare the people of God to receive the Word of God through preaching. Throughout the worship experience we should be exposing the people of God to the Scriptures. During our worship services our aim is to offer praise and thanksgiving to God recognizing that at each service there are those at different spiritual stages and some who have not even begun their journey with Christ.
HOW WILL WE ACCOMPLISH THIS?
We will accomplish this through the preaching of the word, singing and emphasizing Bible-based and Christ-exalting songs. We believe that during the worship service, time should be given to pray, both from the pulpit as well as a time of reflection for the congregation. We also believe that worship should be done with reverence and passion.
FOCUS
As a church we have a responsibility to build up spiritually those who are currently attending but we should also be actively seeking to draw others from outside the church into a relationship with God. A special emphasis should be given to creating a service that will attract the next generation, those who are young believers as well as those who are not yet believers. It is our desire to be a multi-generational church that is passionate about reaching the next generation for Jesus Christ.
